very person who has come…or is coming…or who will come… wants to stay here and contribute—to the same dream. 

Each one carries a spark of light. 

They do not come to destroy; not even those who have been cast out elsewhere.

All give what they can: those with less talent..,fewer opportunities…less money…less intelligence…broken parts…or no visible path to a future. 

They all give because they all feel they belong. 

Each one  has come to offer support and love and encouragement.

 And each hopes to receive the same in return. 

They deserve alliances with  leaders, protectors, teachers, innovators, writers, healers, thinkers, artists, farmers, market makers…and every mother and father. 

Each of us is a stepping stone to an ideal society; it could become the most beautiful creation of humanity. 

We know It will never be perfect; but it can be perfectly imperfect. 

Almost every one of us descends from ancestors born elsewhere. 

They all came to chase our common dream; the same one we still chaased today.

Every true American yearns to preserve the river of hope that is moving us to a longer, stronger democracy.
